How devices are classified

Open questions

  1. The EDA51 handheld counter does not count as a Scanner. All 3 EDA51 rows (hamlx, nhuhn1, hanptg) were last updated before 2026-08-01, so they are also not scanned and not counted.
  2. "Extra" means a staff member holds 2 or more of the same required device. Cameras and desks are Other items, never counted as extra.
Decision
Match each device to a type by its product name. A staff member is Complete when they have at least 1 of each of the 4 types. Holding 2+ of a type is flagged as Extra, not as Missing.
Alternatives
(a) Require exactly 1 of each type, so Extra counts as not complete. (b) Count the EDA51 as a Scanner. (c) Match by SKU list instead of product name.
Reason
Product name is the only signal that tells device types apart. The asset_type field is 2 for every row, so it cannot sort devices by type.
Consequence
With "exactly 1", hanptg and vannnt would show as not complete even though they miss nothing.
